Youth Basketball - $30 (3rd-8th grade)

Learn the basics of speed, agility, strategy and sportsmanship. Practice takes place at the After-School Playground Sites during the After-School Program time. Games are played at Almansor Park. The program concludes with All City Playoffs and Championships.

Cheerleading - $30 (3rd-8th grade)

Provides basic cheerleading skills, including rhythm, choreography, showmanship, team cooperation, novice stunting and cheers. Practice is held weekdays at an After-School site. Participants cheer at City of Alhambra Flag Football games held at Almansor Park. Cheerleading clinics are held on Thursdays at Almansor Park. Concludes with the All-City Cheerleading Championships. 

Drill Team - $30 (3rd-8th grade)

Provides drill team skills, including performing drills to music, marching, commands, choreography, showmanship, and team cooperation. Drill Team clinics are held on Thursdays at Almansor Park. Concludes with the All-City Drill Team Championships. 

Flag Football - $30 (3rd-8th grade)

Teaches speed, agility, strategy, teamwork, sportsmanship and participation. Practice takes place at the After-School Playground Site, weekdays during the regular After-School Program time. League games and playoffs take place at Almansor Park. Concludes with All City Playoffs and Championships. 

Transportation is provided to and from all league games plated at Almansor Park. For more information link to the Alhambra

Volunteer  Opportunities Available

The Community Services Department is seeking volunteer coaches to assist with the youth sports, cheeleading and the drill team programs. Individuals interested in becoming a volunteer coach or an assistant coach must submit a Volunteer Application Form during the registration period of the sport activity they are interested in coaching. A volunteer application can be obtain at the Recreation Division office - 800 S Almansor Street or online by Clicking Here
